Reminder of our Free Eatology Paleo Meals  (Paleo Zone) Seminar this weekend on Saturday, 16 February 2013, at 0900 a.m. at AllSport CrossFit in Houston, Texas. Everyone is welcome to attend the Seminar (even those that are not Members of AllSport CrossFit) but you MUST be registered via Mind Body for the Seminar (https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/asp/home.asp?studioid=26612).

 Some great Suggested Snacks from Eatology!

Three Block Snacks

  • Snack #1: 3 oz turkey, 1 ½ apple, 9 almonds
  • Snack #2: 3 oz ham, 20 grapes and one cucumber, 9 almonds
  • Snack #3: Fresh Fish: 4 ½ oz fresh fish, grilled, 1 1/3 cup zucchini sautéed in herbs, 1 large salad with 1 ½ Tbs salad dressing and 1 cup fresh strawberries for dessert
  • Snack #4: Chili: 1/3 cup onion (chopped), 1 green pepper chopped in garlic, cumin, chili powder, and crushed red peppers. Add: 9 oz ground beef or turkey, 1 cup tomato sauce, ¾ cup black beans, 1cup celery chopped, 1 cup zucchini (chopped), ~30 olives (chopped), add fresh cilantro to taste, serve each helping with 1 oz cheese (grated)
  • Snack #5: 3 oz deli meat, 1 oz sliced cheese, 1 ½ apple, 3 macadamia nuts
  • Snack #6: ¾ cantaloupe (cubed), 3oz roast beef. 9 almonds
  • Snack #7: Steak & Eggs: 2 oz grilled steak, 1 egg over easy, 1 ½ apple
  • Snack #8: Fruit Salad: ¾ cup cottage cheese, ¼ cantaloupe (cubed), 1 cup strawberries, ½ grapes, sprinkle with slivered almonds
  • Snack #9: Turkey & Greens: 3 oz turkey breast (roasted), chop and steam: 2 ½ cupkale, sauté 1 tsp olive oil, garlic, crushed red peppers, add the steamed kale and mix, 1 peach (sliced) for dessert
  • Snack # 10: 3 cups chocolate mootopia milk
  • Snack #11: 3 oz jerky meat, 1 apple, 9 almonds
  • Snack #12: Grilled Chicken Salad: 3 oz grilled chicken, served over 2 cups lettuce, ¼ tomato (chopped), ¼ cucumber (chopped), ¼ green pepper, ¼ cup black beans, 1 apple (chopped), ~ 1 ½ Tbs salad dressing

Two Block Snacks

  • Snack #1: 2 oz turkey, 1 medium apple, 6 almonds
  • Snack #2: 2 oz ham, 10 grapes and one cucumber, 6 almonds
  • Snack # 3: ½ cantaloupe, 2 oz roast beef, 6 almonds
  • Snack #4: Steak & Eggs: 1 oz grilled steak, 1 egg over easy, 1 large apple
  • Snack #5: Turkey & Greens: 2 oz roasted turkey breast, chop and steam 1 ¼ cup kale, sauté: 2/3 tsp olive oil, garlic, crushed red peppers, add steamed kale and mix, 1 peach, sliced for dessert
  • Snack #6: 2 oz baked chicken breast, 1 large orange, 2 macadamia nuts
  • Snack #7: 2 oz deli meat, 1 medium apple, 2 macadamia nuts
  • Snack #8: Chili: 1/3 cup onion, 1 green pepper, chopped in garlic, cumin, chili powder, and crushed red peppers; Add: 1 cup tomato, chopped, ½ cup black beans,  ~30 olives (chopped), add cilantro to taste
  • Snack #9: ½ cantaloupe, 4 egg whites, 6 almonds
  • Snack #10: 2 cups chocolate mootopia milk
  • Snack #11: 2 oz jerky meat, 1 medium apple, 6 almonds
  • Snack #12: Grilled Chicken Salad: 2 oz grilled chicken, served over 2 cups lettuce, ¼ tomato (diced), ¼ cucumber (diced), ¼ green pepper, ¼ cup black beans, ~ 1 Tbs salad dressing
