- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Austin found CrossFit 7 years ago, when his dad opened a new CrossFit gym and encouraged him to just try CrossFit. Austin was a 145 pound, 6’2” high school sophomore who could barely bench press 135. Soon enough, Austin was hooked. The competitive nature of CrossFit scratched the itch he was missing from football, and this time he wasn’t benched for most of the game! Austin had never had a dedicated workout program before and started to see major results doing CrossFit in high school, going from 145 to 180 pounds. His love for CrossFit grew as he started to get more competitive, and even helped as an assistant coach after school and during the summer.
Austin then moved to College Station to get his Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas A&M. During his time there he branched out past CrossFit, running triathlons some semesters, and being focused on weightlifting other semesters. He graduated in May of 2019 and moved back to Houston for his new job and found his new CrossFit home in AllSport CrossFit.
Austin loves sharing his passion for fitness with others and loves to encourage people to break their boundaries and get to the next level. He has always wanted to be a CrossFit coach, and is now finally able to live that dream, despite also working full-time as an engineer. Austin loves the community focused nature of CrossFit and how easy it is to make friends with the people you sweat with on a daily basis. He is always looking to improve his skills as both a trainer and an athlete.
